It is with immense pride that we are able to show some Photo`s of the Dumbartonshire Top Ten Final which took place at Dumbarton Rock Bowling Club, Dumbarton on the 8th of August 2010.

Clydebank Bowling CLub qualified through to the Final, and were drawn against a very strong and skilfull Eastfield Bowling Club.

Eastfield won the day with a great display of bowls, particularly from their triples who were superb on the day and deserve all credit. The scorecard from the day does not reflect fairly the effort and quality of bowls our team played, they simply came up against a team who played a fantastic game of bowls and were worthy winners.

Our congratulations to Eastfield on a well deserved victory..

Here are some photo`s taken on the day which show the wonderful setting and the pride with which the teams competed.

It must be said that it made you proud to see how many members turned up in their uniforms to support the team, and the members who turned up with their wives and families were a huge credit to the name of the club.

The setting for the game was superb.................

looking down on the green

Which way is the best to get the shot????????????

TP Winter tried to rally the troops with some community singing....

The view of the scoreboards however............ told a sad tale.

It would take more than TP`s impersonation of Sydney Devine to make these scores turn round !!!

T.P. knew that we were not doing so well, he saw the scores and realised that his beloved Clydebank Bowling Club were about to finish in an honourable second place, just as we had done in the Clydebank and District League...

It brought out a swell of emotion which made us all proud.......

Remember........

A silver medal is one small step away from taking gold. !

Learn from this year, and come back stronger and better prepared for next year...

Well done to the teams, the supporters and the club.

The motto on the Town Crest of Clydebank translated from latin is

" Work and knowledge "

Work hard and learn from our results this year !!!
